10th July 2005 ....Its great news that BRITAIN has won the Olympic bid for the 2012 games, there will of course be great demand for memorabilia to celebrate the event, expect prices for Olympic collectables to increase as a result, there are very few vintage Olympic scarves about so don't miss out if you come across any as they seem to vanish once the games are over.

Olympic rings. Tie rack have produced some wonderful scarves over the years with
brilliant designs some of which have a Kikami tag, these are well worth
collecting.
AUSTRIA - TYROL -SKATING AND WINTER SPORTS - Vintage silk 50s scarf featuring
all sorts of winter sports, very few scarves featuring skaters turn up as in
this case, very collecatable if you find any.

SCARF - Vintage silk twill scarf featuring all sorts of Ski gear, all vintage
winter sports scarves are now very difficult to find, snap them up while you
can.

events are printed on the scarf in both Japanese and Engli

- AUSTRALIA -1956 Olympics, this small silk kerchief scarf also shows a map of Australia as
well as the Olympic torch. In super condition.
MONTREAL
- CANADA - 1976 Olympic scarf with very colourful, graphics showing athletes in
action, flags and various places of interest in and around Montreal. Made from
satin rayon fabric.
RUGBY
- RUGBY FOOTBALL UNION - This extra large silk scarf is really stunning,
it is shown folded, rolled edge, a cross collectable with collectors of sporting
memorabilia.
CARD
GAME - Vintage 50s silk rolled edge neckerchief scarf featuring a card
game, the cigarette case featured gives a clue to the age of the scarf,
I have come across all sorts of scarves such as this featuring
holidays, hobbies, holidays, food and drink just to name but a few
subjects. Some are made in Switzerland , very few are signed. a super
reminder of the 50s era.
